Inside the Bandai Gashapon Official Shop at ATT 4 FUN, Taipei

Right off the exit from Taipei 101, a wall-to-wall Bandai gashapon shop at ATT 4 FUN — coin pricing, a Harry Potter design plate, and a BE@RBRICK that went straight onto a keyring.

A Capsule Wall on the Way Out of Taipei 101

We had just come down from the Taipei 101 observatory, and the exit route led straight past a Bandai official gashapon shop at ATT 4 FUN.

If you like gashapon shops, this one is worth the detour. The wall of machines was larger than expected, and my child and I both have a weakness for anything cute — the moment we saw the shop, my child asked my husband to break some cash into coins, and we split the coins between us to start pulling.

How the Coins Work

The chart on the counter listed everything from a single NT$50 coin up to a 60-coin, NT$3,000 bundle.

Coins went straight from my husband’s hand into ours, and we split them before starting.

One Wall, Several Licenses

A Harry Potter design plate collection gashapon machine, labeled 5 designs, 5 coins, about 10cm diameter

I went for the Harry Potter plate first — I had wanted one since walking in. Five designs, five coins, NT$250.

A Katamari Damacy character keychain charm gashapon machine, labeled 5 designs, 3 coins

The Katamari Damacy charm caught my eye too — the same character I had seen at a Parco pop-up in Osaka.

A Nikon camera and lens miniature accessory gashapon machine, labeled 10 designs, 3 coins
A Hatsune Miku cassette tape charm gashapon machine, labeled 6 designs, 3 coins

What stood out walking down the row was how many separate licenses were running side by side — Harry Potter, Nikon, Hatsune Miku, Katamari Damacy — each on its own machine, each with its own coin count printed right on the front. For a shop built entirely on capsule toys, that density of licensing is the real draw.

A BE@RBRICK Clipped Straight to a Keyring

My husband used to not quite understand why I enjoyed shopping like this. These days he is clearly into it — he pulled a BE@RBRICK charm and clipped it onto his keyring before we had even left the machine.

A Pretty Cure transformation item gashapon machine, labeled 5 designs, 4 coins

Back Out to Taipei 101

The oversized red capsule at the center of the floor was clearly a photo point for most visitors passing through.

Walking out, the Taipei 101 figure at the exit was a reminder of where this stop fit into the day. If you have a little time before or after going up the tower, it is worth ducking into.
